Transverse Ridges

First four lower cheek teeth, nose would be toward the right.

bullet

A. First cheek tooth, undulations usually very short or not present.

bullet

B & C. Second/third cheek tooth, ridges are becoming pointed. (Mildly exaggerated)

bullet

D. Forth cheek tooth, undulations normal, rounded top.

bullet

Every high point on one tooth has a corresponding low spot on the opposing tooth. See the second picture below.

Exaggerated transverse ridges meshing with the corresponding "valley" on the opposing tooth. Normally the tops of the ridges would not touch the opposite row of teeth when the jaw moves front to back in the resting position. back
